Sea
trials |
A sea trial is always recommended whenever
possible especially for power vessels where the engines
make up a large proportion of its value. Having inspected
the engine for any patent defects the engines are run
under load in working conditions over a period of time.
This will ensure all components are operating correctly
within their design specification.
Should there be any defects within the engines or transmission,
this is likely to make itself evident during the sea
trial. |
|
We can arrange for a marine engineer
to be aboard if the surveyor or purchaser has any doubts
over the condition of the powertrain.
All hull fittings, steering gear, rigging and instruments
will be tested for functionality and serviceability.
Electronic equipment will also be tested for accuracy
where possible.

We also offer a service whereby we carry
out a pre-launch check on the boat, which can often
serve to pick up potential problems before they arise.
